STAFF

Coach Natalie
Natalie is the owner and heart behind Appalachian Gymnastics Academy. Having grown up immersed in the world of gymnastics, she developed not only athletic skill but a deep appreciation for the life lessons the sport teaches—discipline, resilience, confidence, and perseverance. Those values continue to shape both her coaching and her approach to life.
Six years ago, Natalie made the move to Blue Ridge, drawn to the beauty of the mountains and the sense of community. As a mother of three active children involved in a variety of sports, she understands firsthand the importance of providing positive, enriching opportunities for kids to grow and thrive. In addition to running a business and supporting her children’s passions, Natalie also homeschools, bringing the same dedication and intentionality into her family life.
With a vision to give back to her community, Natalie founded Appalachian Gymnastics Academy to bring something truly special to the mountains—a place where children can build strength, confidence, and character in a supportive environment. For her, the gym is more than just a training space; it’s a place where young athletes can discover what they’re capable of, both on and off the mat.

Coach Chris
Chris began her gymnastics journey before Nadia Comăneci made history with the first perfect 10 in Olympic competition. She started in Atlanta, Georgia, and later owned and operated a gymnastics facility in Huntsville, Alabama, for 14 years. Over the course of her career, she has coached in Chattanooga, Destin, and Atlanta before ultimately returning to the mountains. With decades of experience, Coach Chris has trained athletes of every level, from energetic 2-year-old beginners to accomplished Elite gymnasts.

Coach Brittany
Brittany is a key part of Appalachian Gymnastics Academy, helping bring the gym’s vision to life both behind the scenes and at the front desk. With a background in the medical field, she developed a strong foundation in care, organization, and attention to detail—skills that now play an essential role in her work at the gym.
As a mother of two active children involved in sports, Brittany understands the value of creating a positive and encouraging environment where kids can grow and succeed. She homeschools her children, balancing family life, education, and her role at the gym with dedication and purpose.
Brittany and Natalie have been friends for over ten years, first connecting through the gymnastics community. Over time, they shared a vision of creating a gym that would reflect their passion for helping children build confidence, strength, and character. That dream became a reality with Appalachian Gymnastics Academy.
Today, Brittany is often the first friendly face families see when they walk through the door. From managing the front desk to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, she plays an essential role in creating the welcoming and supportive environment that defines the gym.

With a background in early childhood education, she has a natural gift for connecting with young athletes and creating a fun, engaging environment where they can learn and grow with confidence.
As a mother of three, Angie understands the importance of nurturing each child’s unique personality and helping them feel supported both on and off the mat. Her experiences at home and in the classroom have shaped a patient, compassionate approach that allows her to connect with children of all abilities.
At the gym, Coach Angie is especially loved for her work with preschoolers, where her playful energy and encouraging nature make learning feel like an adventure. She creates a space where little ones feel safe, supported, and excited to try new things.
For Angie, gymnastics is about more than movement—it’s about building confidence, encouraging individuality, and making every child feel seen and valued.
